SONGWRITERS NOTES E-NEWS #193 DECEMBER 2017

Hello Songwriter,

This will be a shorter version of the newsletter because I'm busy with the script and printed program for our upcoming event, the culmination of the Song Contest and our Best Songs of the Meeting competition.

Our Awards Banquet will be on Friday December 8, 2017. This is such a great event filled with first rate talent. Some of our DSA Song Contest Semi finalists and Best Songs of the Meeting Finalists will perform including local artists Loralai Milton, Ireland, Megan Sullivan, Don Wall, Al Lumbreras, Allen Larson and Virginia native, Mike Ryan. The event will be at the historic Sons of Hermann Hall, 3414 Elm St., Dallas, Texas 75226 The doors open at 6:00 pm. Dinner starts at 6:30 pm and the program starts at 7:00 pm. Admission is $25.00 advance purchase online or $30.00 at the door. Cash bar available.

Tickets online at: https://dallassongwriters.org/shop/dsa-song-contest-awardschristmas-party/
Here is what our program director, Bobby Montgomery says about the event.

"The Christmas/Awards Banquet is the highlight and culmination of the “Best of the Best” in DSA’s international songwriting competition as well as our monthly song critique.

This is the time we set aside to recognize and honor artists locally, nationally and internationally for their songwriting entries through out the year.

If you attended the last few award banquets, you will recall the excitement and anticipation that filled the room among friends, family recipients as the program unfolded and awards were presented. The excitement was contagious!

The banquet and entertainment alone is worth the price of admission, however sharing in the excitement of our fellow songwriters is priceless!

Whether you have a dog in the hunt or not, don’t miss this opportunity to come out and support DSA in our celebration of “The Best of the Best”. Many will be performing their songs live!

If you are unable to attend due to previous plans or distance, please consider making a tax-deductible donation in support of this event and all that DSA provides.

Thank you in advance for your attendance and support"
